Pet Memorial Jewelry
Memorial jewelry made with fur from your dog or cat. We cast the hairs in a handmade resin bead and set it in gold-plated or 925 sterling silver, so you can carry them close — every day, without anyone needing to ask.
Dogs, cats and every other furry animal
DZYZ started with horses, but the principle is the same whatever the animal. If you have kept a lock of fur from your dog, cat or another pet, we can make a piece from it.
Fur from dogs and cats is shorter and more delicate than horsehair, and it asks more of the craft. That is why pieces made with pet fur cost 100 DKK extra. The result is the same: the hairs sit inside the bead, where they cannot fall out or wear away.

Can you work with ashes?
Yes. We normally work with hair, and that is by far the most common — but ashes are entirely possible. Write to us at dzyz.connect@outlook.com so we can agree on the details before you order.
How it works
- Choose your piece. Find the piece you want and note in the comment field that it should be made with fur from a pet.
- Send the fur. Wash it, let it dry completely and place it in a zip-lock bag. We have written a practical guide to sending hair — it applies to dog and cat fur too. Send too much rather than too little, especially if the fur is light.
- We make it by hand. Every bead is cast freehand without a mould, so we control exactly how the hairs sit. That takes about an hour per bead.
How long does it take?
Expect up to a month from the day we receive the fur until the piece is on its way to you, though most pieces are ready in two to three weeks. Pieces with several beads naturally take longer. If we are not happy with the result, we make it again.
What the jewelry is made of
Every piece is 925 sterling silver — silver or gold-plated. The hairs are cast in jewelry-grade resin. The one exception is the Thea Bead, which is pure resin without silver.
Your pet does not need to still be with you
All that matters is that you have the fur. Many people order long afterwards — and that is completely fine. If you kept a lock, we can make it.
