I even avoided leasing a horse, fearing the attachment I knew would inevitably follow. But life had other plans. In 2014, I crossed paths with a majestic 17-hand horse named Lifestyle. He was intimidatingly large for my 1.65-meter frame, but when I was offered a lease on him, my cautious heart was lost. As I predicted, I fell completely in love. He wasn't just a horse; he was my partner.

For eight and a half years, Lifestyle was my everything. He was my teacher in dressage, my brave companion over jumps, and my steady friend on forest trails. We grew up together, navigating life's challenges side-by-side. He taught me about responsibility, sacrifice, and the purest form of love. This past September, on the first of 2025, I made the ultimate sacrifice of love and let my soul horse run free.

In my grief, I sought a way to keep him close. I wanted a piece of jewelry that held his hair, a subtle and elegant token of our bond. But everything I found was too bold, too "equestrian." I didn't want our connection to be a statement for others; I wanted a quiet, personal keepsake that was as graceful and strong as our time together. So, I decided to create it myself.
